Before you begin:
Ventilate the kitchen by opening windows and doors
Avoid breathing in fumes
Wear gloves if possible
Never try to scrape melted plastic while it’s hot—it can smear, burn, and damage surfaces.
Method 1: The Freezer (Cold) Method – Best for Hardened Plastic
What You’ll Need:
Ice packs or a bag of ice
Plastic or wooden scraper
Baking soda
Let the oven cool completely.
Place ice packs directly on the melted plastic to harden it further.
Once brittle, gently scrape it off using a plastic or wooden scraper.
Sprinkle baking soda on any residue and wipe with a damp cloth.
Method 2: Heat-and-Remove Method – For Thin Plastic Residue
