Help!! why is my steak from aldi shining every time light hits it like an opal or an oil spill?!?!?! Google lens is only popping up with opals and crystals.

It’s been chemically treated

It’s fake, plastic, or lab-grown

Aldi is selling magical crystal steaks (sadly)

It’s purely a light-reflection issue, not a quality or safety problem.

But Why Does It Look So Wrong?

Because our brains do not associate rainbow shimmer with raw meat. Steak is supposed to be red, brown, maybe a little glossy—not throwing disco lights across the kitchen. So when it happens, it triggers instant panic.

Totally fair reaction, honestly.
